Hello, everyone! Welcome to our DIY Blog!
Today’s blog is about a fun project we recently completed: a custom DIY 15kW LiFePO4 battery pack for a customer.
Let’s dive in and take a look at how it all went!~~~~

Our customer from Europe needed a custom 10-15kW battery pack for a home energy storage system, complete with a compatible inverter.
Interestingly, the customer couldn’t decide on the type of casing: a classic black case or a modern white upright mobile case.

After understanding the customer’s needs and the intended home setting, we suggested the white upright mobile case.
*Why? It’s more stylish, fits well in a home environment, and the mobile design makes it easier to move around as needed. It just has that sleek look that blends better in a modern home!

Then came the question of capacity—10kW or 15kW?
After a detailed discussion, we all agreed that 15kW was the best option.
*Here’s why:
Cost-Effectiveness: 10kW packs can be quite pricey compared to 15kW, especially with the 200Ah LiFePO4 cells being limited in supply and more expensive.
Stability and Value: Going with the 15kW pack provided more stable, economical power for a better price.
*For the battery management system (BMS), we chose jikong bms,a premium brand that supports RS485 communication and comes with a clean, mobile touchscreen for easy use and stability.

Our assembly process was designed for maximum safety and neatness.
We included extra mounting holes for flexibility in BMS installation, so there’s no need for re-drilling, and we wrapped all wiring and connectors for long-term protection.
The internal battery cells are connected with screws for easy maintenance in case the customer wants to do future checks or repairs—though laser welding is also available if preferred.

Once assembled, we put the battery pack through rigorous charge and discharge cycles.
With a full charge, it reached an impressive 330.1Ah, proving the top-notch quality of our cells.

The final touch? A custom-printed logo on the case! It looked fantastic, and our customer couldn’t wait to receive it.
After confirming the address and shipping details, we did a final inspection and carefully packed it. The battery pack was wrapped in foam and placed in a sturdy fumigated wooden crate, perfect for safe international shipping.
And that’s a wrap for this custom DIY battery pack project! We can’t wait to hear how it performs in the customer’s setup.
